There are a limited number of visitor parking spaces ($1/hr) for the Truland building where we are located, so we recommend visitors take the Metro to the Center if possible. This map includes a guide to nearby parking.
By Metro
Take the Orange Line to the Virginia Square/GMU station. Take the escalator to the street level, and turn to face Fairfax Drive (Starbucks will be on your left). Across the street and to the right, you will see the large pink FDIC building complex. One block up from this you will see a George Mason University sign and the large white GMU Law Building with its circular front. Turn left after the Law Building onto Kirkwood Road. Walk past the Law building, and after a driveway you will see a large black building with glass windows. This is 3330 Washington Boulevard (the Truland Building). Enter from the main entrance in the parking lot and take the elevator up to the 5th floor. The homepage of the Washington Metro (with travel times, etc.) can be found here.
By Car
From Washington, DC:
Cross over the Roosevelt Bridge; follow signs to the George Washington Parkway. Once on the parkway, exit at Spout Run (left exit). Cross over Route 29 (Lee Highway). Spout Run is now Kirkwood Road. CRDC is located on the 5th floor of the Truland building, at the intersection of Kirkwood Road and Washington Boulevard. Free two-hour parking is available during the day along Kirkwood Road. From I-66 heading East:
Exit I-66 at Glebe Road/Fairfax Drive (exit 71). The exit ramp turns into Fairfax Drive. After traveling one mile on North Fairfax Drive, you will see the FDIC building on the left, and GMU's white circular Law Building next on the left. Turn left at the next street onto Kirkwood Road. CRDC is located on the 5th floor of the Truland building, at the intersection of Kirkwood Road and Washington Boulevard. Free two-hour parking is available during the day along Kirkwood Road. From I-66 heading West:
Exit I-66 at Glebe Road (exit 71). Turn left onto Washington Boulevard. Stay on Washington Boulevard until you pass the Giant Supermarket; then turn right onto Kirkwood Road. Exit I-395 at Glebe Road North. Continue on Glebe Road, passing Ballston Common Mall on the right. Cross over Wilson Boulevard, then turn right onto Fairfax Drive. Go east on Route 50 (Arlington Blvd.). Exit at Glebe Road, and turn left onto Glebe. Continue on Glebe Road, passing Ballston Common Mall on the right. When exiting the airport, stay generally straight and follow the signs for 267 East (airport-no toll). Take this straight, and follow signs for 66 East. Once you are 66 East, look for Exit 71--Glebe Road/Fairfax Drive. Stay straight as the exit ramp turns into Fairfax Drive. After traveling one mile on North Fairfax Drive, you will see the FDIC building (under construction) on the left, and GMU's white circular Law Building next on the left. There are only a few (~5) parking spaces for visitors in the Truland Building parking lot ($1/hr). Free two-hour parking is available during the day along Kirkwood Road. Metered parking is available along various streets surrounding the GMU Arlington Campus. Paid garage parking ($1.00 for three hours) is available six blocks away in the Ballston Mall (behind Ballston Metro), from where you can take the Metro one stop to Virginia Square/GMU.
