Interfaith Collaboration for Social Change in Syria In the Midst of War Conference

In collaboration with USIP, CRDC organized a conference in the summer of 2012 for thirty participants from different backgrounds around the world currently engaged in the Syrian conflict. Participants included nonviolent activists, a diverse array of religious leaders and stakeholders dedicated to a peaceful transformation of the conflict.

Civil society and Negotiations Training

Hind Kabawat and other CRDC staff continue to travel extensively to Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, London and Cairo, training Syrian non-violent activists in civil society building and conflict resolution activities, currently implementing the program “Transition to  United Syrian Civil Society.”

Syrian-American Program in Citizen Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution

DSC03717-1024x768Hind Kabawat and CRDC Director Marc Gopin founded an institute for training Syrians in conflict resolution in Damascus and in the following decade certified 100 students in conflict resolution and diplomacy at the Damascus branch, providing an extensive network of peace-building professionals for future programs in Syria and its Diaspora.
