About Me

Madeline Anderson (Maddie) is an undergraduate double majoring in French and global affairs with a concentration in the environment. She is a research associate in CRDC’s Wellbeing and Peacebuilding Lab, and she is the editor and marketing manager of Dr. Marc Gopin’s podcast Making Change. She also serves as an administrative coordinator for CRDC’s Reimagining America Project in Charlotte, NC.

Maddie’s research interests stem from her study abroad experiences in Xi’an, China, and Jonquière, Québec. She has written on the Uyghur conflict in China and the role of personal narratives on the community level to facilitate conversations on sensitive racial issues. In the future, she hopes to conduct research on Francophone African contexts.
