About Me

Merisa Mattix is a research assistant at CRDC supporting fundraising and grant-writing initiatives. She is an undergraduate at GMU’s Carter School majoring in conflict analysis and resolution with a concentration in justice and reconciliation. Her main interests include global anti-human human trafficking work, post-genocide work in Darfur, and religious conflict in the Middle East. She is also passionate about East African development issues, which sparked her interest during a trip to Kenya in 2018.
